"A lot of people are worried about Witcher 3, saying they won't understand it if they haven't played Witcher 1 and 2. "What we are doing in Witcher 3 is we're really focused on making a really nice soft learning curve for combat and storytelling," Mamais said. Witcher 3 retains this feeling, but CD Projekt is trying to make the game easier to get to grips with at the start than previous games in the series. Players need to prepare properly for encounters, think tactically about their foes and, when in battle, skillfully evade, dodge and defend. The Witcher series is famous for its complex combat.
